Firefighters helped rescue a trapped sheep in a North Yorkshire village this morning (Sunday).
Crews from Acomb and Ripon were called to Nun Monkton at 10.38am.
The sheep was stuck in the mud by the River Nidd.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used level 3 swift water rescue equipment and worked alongside a farmer to recover the sheep.
“They then left the sheep in the care of the farmer.”
