Firefighters took to the water this morning (Wednesday) to help the captain of a boat which was going nowhere.
The boat crew from Selby fire station went out to assist after a pleasure craft became stuck on a mud bank on the River Ouse near Riccall.
At 9.41am, Station Manager Tony Walker said on Twitter: “Craft now released and being escorted to safety by Selby boat crew. Job well done by your fire service.”
