Fire crews tackled a roadside blaze next to the A1(M) last night (Friday).
They were called to the incident, next to junction 48 (Boroughbridge) and junction 49 (Dishforth Interchange).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon were mobilised to a fire on the grass embankment of the A1 motorway.
“Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish and dampen down, a thermal imagining camera was used to check for any hotspots.”
