The weather is good and if you’re heading out to enjoy our beautiful countryside over the next few days, please remember to be wildfire aware.
That’s the message from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
In dry conditions, fires can start easily and spread rapidly, putting our moorlands, wildlife, habitats and nearby communities at serious risk.
If you’re planning a visit please remember:
No BBQs or open fires
Dispose of cigarettes safely
Take all litter home , especially glass bottles
Know your location, use what3words if needed
If you see smoke or flames, move to safety and call 999
