Crews from Selby and York and an appliance from Humberside Fire and Rescue service responded to reports of a flat fire above a commercial premises.
It happened in the early hours of this morning in Finkle Street in Selby
Crews used two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and ventilate the property.
There were no reports of injuries.
