Firefighters were called out late last night (Thursday) to fears of a fire at a York city centre hotel.
Crews from across York descended on the hotel off Micklegate at 10.25pm.
It followed reports of a smell of burning inside.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “After a full investigation by crews this was believed to have been caused by some sort of incense product and no fire was found.”
