Damage was caused to part of an industrial laundry on Leyburn Business Park today.
Richmond and Hawes fire crews were called out just after 12 noon. A further appliance was requested along with an aerial ladder platform from Darlington.
Crews extinguished the fire using hose reels and breathing apparatus.
The fire started in a steam vessel and fire damage was caused to this and an internal flue.
