A fight in Scarborough has left one man in hospital fighting for his life.
It happened on the Longwestgate, Auborough Street, Cross Street and Friars Way crossroads at around 11.15pm on Tuesday (30 December).
A group of men are believed to have been involved.
Incident location
One of them, a 40-year-old Scarborough man, is currently in a critical condition in hospital after paramedics were called to his address on New Year’s Day.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace everyone connected to the incident.
“As well as those who witnessed or have information about the altercation, we are also urging people to come forward who have taken or obtained smartphone video footage of the incident.
“This includes any relevant videos posted on social media or online messaging apps.”
