A person went in the river in York early this morning (Tuesday).
Fire crews were called to the incident near Tower Street at 3.24am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews were mobilised to a report of a person in the river and unable to get out.
“On arrival the person was out and safe and no fire service assistance was required.”
