Driver rescued after car rolls over several times in North Yorkshire crash

A number of casualties were injured in a crash on the A19 north of Northallerton last night (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway near the Crathorne exit at 8.09pm.

Police, ambulance and fire crews from Thirsk, Yarm and Thornaby went to the scene.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One vehicle had rolled over several times and crews extricated the driver.

“The second vehicle occupants were not trapped. All casualties involved were taken to hospital by road ambulance.

“Crews used cutting equipment and spinal board at the scene.”
