Two fire crews were called to a fire in a York store this afternoon.
Firefighters from York and Acomb were called to the Søstrene Grene homeware and gift shop on Nessgate at 1.49pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire had started in an electrical consumer unit but was out on arrival of crews.”

They carried out an inspection and used a fan to ventilate the property of any smoke.
“The incident was left in hands of the power board and onsite responsible person,” the spokesperson added.
