An evening meal became a proper drama in one York household last night (Monday).
Fire crews from York, Acomb and Huntington responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding and smoke at 6.55pm.
It was from a home on St Benedict Road.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a fire to waffles in the microwave and was out on arrival.”
