A crash closed a road in York tonight (Thursday).
It happened on Acomb Road, at about 7.30pm, not far from the junction with Holgate Road and nearly opposite the junction with Murray Street.
A black car ended up on its side. It looks to have collided with at least one parked car.
A motorcyclist was also on the scene, and a bus was parked with its hazard lights flashing.
Police went to the scene and closed off a section of the road while they dealt with the incident.
The occupants of the car appear to have got out without help.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Selby responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision where the car ended up on its side.
“The crews stabilised the vehicle and gained access via the boot to free the uninjured single occupant.”
The impact damaged the front and side of the vehicle and left shattered glass in the road.
The road has now reopened.
