A woman has been badly hurt in a crash in York tonight (Friday)
Emergency services were called to the collision on Rawcliffe Lane close to its junction with Shipton Road shortly after 6pm.
The road was closed while they were at the scene. It reopened at 8.50pm.

The cyclist and a white van collided.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “She was taken by land ambulance to York Hospital with a serious leg injury which is not believed to be life-threatening.”
We understand the Yorkshire Air Ambulance was also called out.
