A section of the A64 is closed this morning.
It’s on the eastbound carriageway near Copmanthorpe.
Yorkshire Water repair works have shut the road from the roundabout to past Top Lane.
The AA says: “Severe delays of ten minutes and delays increasing on A64 Eastbound between Catterton Lane and A1237.”
National Highways said at 8.09am: “Yorkshire Water have closed the A64 in York eastbound between the A1237 and the A1036 to carry out repairs to a major leak.
“Current delays of 17 minutes and 2 miles of congestion.”
There’s congestion on roads around the area too, including Tadcaster Road.
The roadworks are set to last until 11pm tomorrow (Saturday, 9 May).
