Cleared: Two people accused of stabbing a man in York

Two people accused of stabbing a man in York have been absolved after the prosecution offered no evidence against them.

Bradley Bell, 56, of Wood Street, Heworth, and Lauren Trapps, 35, of Cherry Street, Clementhorpe, were arrested following an alleged incident at a property on Huntington Road on 5 October last year.

They were each charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm but denied the allegations.

They were due to appear for a trial at York Crown Court today (24 February) but the court confirmed that the prosecution had decided to offer no evidence against them at a previous hearing.
