Haxby Town Council Christmas Light Switch On

The annual Christmas Light switch on! Light Switch on at the Memorial Hall at 6pm, then 6.15pm singing at the Tree with the switch on at at the Green 6.30pm.

Minster Mash-Up: Lights switch-on

Join our worship for young people and families – Minster Mash-Up – and get ready for Advent! For this special event, families are invited to join us at the lights switch-on for the York Minster Christmas Tree Festival as we prepare to mark the beginning of Advent and await the arrival of baby Jesus. Families are invited to come at any time during the free 45-minute event, which starts at 10am, and stay for as long or as little as they like. No booking is required.

Norton Christmas Light Switch On

Join us for the Norton Christmas Light Switch On! Activities from 3pm followed by the big Switch On at 4:30pm. Then the fun continues at the Derwent Arms pub for a tree light switch on and a Santa’s Grotto.

Acomb Christmas Light Switch On

Join us at the Acomb Christmas Light Switch with Acomb Alive On Saturday 6th December on Front Street between 2pm & 4pm for live festive entertainment and more. Meet the fairy and princesses, watch carols sung by local choirs and special Christmassy performances and much more. Sponsored on YorkMix by Energise Leisure Centre Acomb!

Alne Tinsel Tractor Run

Head along to Market place in Easingwold to see an amazing Christmas spectacle! With approx 90 tractors all lit up in tractors and tinsel it’s the Alne Charity Tinsel Tractor Run now in it’s 3rd year with more tractors each year it will be setting off from the village of Alne at 4pm.

The YorkMix roadshow will be set up from 4pm to 6pm in Market Place Easingwold – brought to you by our sponsors NFU Mutual Vale of York. Come and join in the Christmas fun to welcome all the tractors through the town TWICE! Play Christmas games and wave to all the tractors.

The route will take the tractors from Alne, to Tollerton, Newton-on-Ouse, Linton-on-Ouse, Aldwark, Flawith, Tholthorpe, Myton-on-Swale, Helperby, Raskelf, Easingwold (incl Market Place) twice, Alne Station, and back to Alne Village Hall by around 6pm. You can go along & see it from any of these villages. So join the crowds who line the streets and give generously to this event who are raising funds for Lucy’s Legacy Charity and the Farm Safety Foundation – Yellow Wellies charity.
