A new record fair is coming to York this weekend.
Independent record shop Record Plant have announced The Great Yorkshire Record Fair, a new event that is set to be one of Yorkshire’s biggest with over 200 tables of specialist stallholders.
The inaugural fair will take place at the York Railway Institute on Saturday 4 April from 10am to 4pm.

There are set to be thousands of records from every era and genre available, so something for everyone from enthusiastic collectors to casual listeners.
Organised in partnership with York Railway Institute, The Great Yorkshire Record Fair has been put together by the team behind independent Leeds new and used vinyl shop Record Plant and their recently opened location in York.
Record Plant’s original shop opened in 2023 and quickly became a local cultural cornerstone, hosting special live music events and carefully curating the soundtrack for the community.
Following on from their success in Farsley, Record Plant opened the doors at their second location on York’s Gillygate in November 2025.
John-Paul Craven, co-owner of Record Plant York said: “Three months in and our York shop has really hit the ground running! With our record fair at the Corn Exchange in Leeds being fully booked month in and month out, we thought it would be a great idea to look at putting a sister event on in our second home – York.
“We’ve already had a lot of bookings for it from all over the country – and welcome the opportunity to work with new sellers.”
