Officers searching for a 78-year-old man, missing from home in York, have discovered a body in the River Ouse.
The family of the man have been informed and are being supported by officers. They have asked that their privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.
Police put out a missing person appeal earlier today and started a search around the river to the north of the city centre.
