A bin lorry caught fire in York early today (Monday).
Firefighters were called to the incident at the Hazel Court Household Waste Recycling Centre at 7.31am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Acomb were mobilised to an incident involving a waste wagon that had caught fire.
“Crews followed the vehicle to a safe location to extinguish the fire, one hose reel jet was used.”
