Another fire started deliberately in York

Crews were called to another fire believed to have been started deliberately overnight.

Firefighters from Acomb went to the incident on Garnet Terrace, York, next to Millennium Green, at 5.59pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a small fire consisting of pallets and crews extinguished using a knapsack sprayer and hand tools.

“The cause is believed to be deliberate.”
