Animals on the line delay trains out of York

Animals on the tracks are delaying some trains out of York Station this afternoon (Tuesday).

They are on the line between York and Malton.

TransPennine Express said: “Due to animals on the railway between York and Malton trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines.

“Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 10 minutes. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”

It’s affecting trains heading towards Scarborough only.

The train operator said people should “continue to travel as planned, however, your journey may be delayed by 10 minutes. We are sorry for the delay to your journey today”.
