A shop has launched a closing down sale in York.
But it’s not going to be gone for long – or go very far.
Mountain Warehouse has been trading from 7 Davygate since the mid 2010s, when it moved into the unit vacated by Laura Ashley.
But it’s preparing to move out, and has a sign in the window declaring: “Closing down for relocation. Everything must go!”
The store is set to reopen across the road at 22 Davygate. Until recently, this was the home of the Deichmann shoe shop.
It closed last month after opening there five years earlier.
The new Mountain Warehouse store will be bigger than the existing one, and it is hiring staff for after the move.
A sign in the window says this is “where your next adventure begins” and directs people to the company jobs site here.
