Alanis Morissette to headline huge outdoor North Yorkshire show this summer

Seven-time Grammy Award winning artist Alanis Morissette is heading to the Yorkshire coast for an unmissable summer headline show.

The iconic Canadian/American musician will play Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday 5 July.

Alanis Morissette is the final headliner to be revealed for Scarborough Open Air Theatre’s 2026 season. It takes the number of shows at the UK’s largest open air arena to 28 – the biggest summer line-up in the venue’s history.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday 27 February via the Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Ticketmaster.

For 30 years Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential artists in contemporary music with her deeply expressive music and performances earning vast critical praise. Her Grammy-winning 1995 debut album Jagged Little Pill was followed by nine more eclectic and acclaimed albums and her music and most notable hits IronicYou Oughta KnowHand in My Pocket and Thank U remain as current today.

In 2019, Jagged Little Pill the musical made its Broadway premiere and was nominated for 15 Tony Awards, winning two at the 2021 ceremony.

Alanis joins a Scarborough Open Air Theatre line-up that includes such artists as Hollywood Vampires, Michael Bublé, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, CMAT, Bastille, Richard Ashcroft, Anastacia, Scissor Sisters, Garbage, Skunk Anansie, James Taylor and Teddy Swims, plus many more.

Julian Murray, of Scarborough OAT promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: “We are absolutely delighted to today reveal Alanis Morissette as our 28th and final headliner for 2026. What a massive name to add to the bill for our already record-breaking summer here in Scarborough.

“Alanis is a cultural phenomenon. Her shows are huge and we now to get to welcome her to the Yorkshire coast. This will be an incredible night in what will be a sensational summer here at Scarborough OAT.”
