“A one-stop shop for misery” – Malton drug dealer jailed

A Malton-based drug dealer, described by a Judge as “a one-stop shop for misery”, has been jailed for five years and three months.

Ronnie Ethan Collins, 21, was sentenced at York Crown Court after pleading guilty to:

  • two counts of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine between September 2024 and April 2026
  • two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine
  • two counts of possession with intent to supply cannabis

PC Rebecca Davison from Scarborough and Ryedale CID, who led the investigation, said: “Despite repeated police action taken against him, Ronnie Collins continued to be a persistent drug dealer in the Scarborough and Ryedale areas.

“I’m delighted with the significant prison sentence that has been handed to him. It reflects the serious nature of his offending and the harm his illicit activities have caused in our communities.

“We simply will not tolerate drug-dealing in our area, and we’ll continue to use everything within our power to root out suspects and make them face justice.”
