A winter crime crackdown saw extra patrols target hotspots like York and Selby.
Altogether 93 arrests were made in the first 23 days of the campaign, launced on 1 December.
As part of a ‘winter of action’, North Yorkshire Police has targeted seasonal crime such as shop theft, alcohol-related disorder, e-bike misuse and drink spiking.
They have focused on towns and cities such as York, Selby and Scarborough.
Officers have logged 350 hours of patrols dedicated to the safety campaign, of which more than 200 were spent on foot.
There was also a dedicated operation in York to stop and seize non-compliant e-bikes and e-scooters, to tackle antisocial behaviour and improve road safety.
Twenty of the 93 arrests were for theft.
Chief Inspector David Hunter of North Yorkshire Police said: “This is one of the safest places to live, work and visit in the country, and we’re determined to keep it that way.
“The festive period brings extra challenges, which is why we’ve put extra resources into targeting crime and anti-social behaviour over the busy winter period.
“We are already seeing a positive impact, and these dedicated patrols and initiatives will continue throughout January, to ensure all our communities can have a peaceful and safe start to the New Year.”
