Youths have been blamed for starting a fire in a York park today (Saturday).
A fire crew from Acomb were called to the incident at an unspecified park at 3.36pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a small fire in a park.
“The crew located a fire consisting of bags of kinding that had been started deliberately by a group of youths.
“Crew extinguished using knapsack sprayer and one hose reel jet. “
