A street in York city centre has reopened following a police incident this evening (Wednesday).
High Ousegate was closed off at both ends.
Police and fire crews were at the scene, with officers are directing people via Coppergate.

The street was sealed off next to Byron Burgers and the Ann Summers shop at one end, and the Fat Face store at the other.
Shortly after 8pm, North Yorkshire Police issued this statement: “City policing team, response, fire and ambulance have been dealing with a sensitive incident on High Ousegate.
“This has now been resolved, the road is open and we are grateful to the public for your patience whilst the road was closed off.”
