A crew from York responded to reports of a fire in the open at Gillamoor Avenue, Tang Hall on Monday evening (3 June).
Upon arrival at 18:24, they found a grass fire, measuring approximately 4m by 2m.
The fire crew extinguished it using one hose reel jet.
The cause was unknown.
