Police are hunting a hooded man who attacked and robbed a woman in a York park.
It happened in the Wellington Row park area of the city at around midnight on Saturday (25 February).
The victim was on a night out when she was approached by a man who asked for her bag.
He then punched her, stole her bag and ran off in an unknown direction.
The man wore all black clothing with a hood covering his face.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and either witnessed the incident or saw a man in dark clothing running away from the area.
“We are also appealing to anyone who may have captured any suspicious activity on dashcam or the man running off to get in touch.”
