A yellow level alert for rain and snow has been issued for midnight until 5pm tomorrow (Tues 27 January) by the Met Office
The warning is for areas to the WEST of the A1 but most of North Yorkshire looks set to see heavy rain.
Forecasters say the Dales will see rain turning to snow over high ground which may lead to some travel and power disruption
Castle Howard says it is closing the gardens, shops and cafés tomorrow due to the forecast.
They should be able to reopen as normal on Wednesday.
