Police are trying to trace two witnesses after a person was attacked in York early yesterday (Monday).
It happened on Church Lane off Low Ousegate at 12.46am.
The victim suffered head injuries and had to be treated in hospital. They have since been discharged.

A suspect was arrested but has since been released pending further police enquiries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are particularly interested in speaking to two witnesses who were in the area at the time.
“During the time of the incident, they were standing on Low Ousegate. One witness was said to be wearing a silver glitter dress and the other witness was wearing a long blue coat.”
