Traffic has been held up on the A64 just outside of York this evening (Wed 14 April).
Highways Yorkshire said there had been an incident at Bilbrough Top which the police have been dealing with.
They now say that has been resolved and traffic is now being released.
However there will still be some delays.
Station Manager Bob Hoskins, @SierraZero8 on Twitter, reported that crews from Tadcaster and Huntington have assisted the police.
He said “The incident has been brought to a safe conclusion. There is heavy traffic build up in the area but roads are now open”
