Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision at a village east of York yesterday (Tuesday).
The collision happened on Hull Road, Wilberfoss, at 1.15pm.
One woman had managed to get out of her car. Humberside fire crews used cutting gear to free a man stuck in the second vehicle.
Crash location
Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was blocked for some time while 999 crews attended to the incident.
