Fire broke out at a house in York last night (Friday).
Acomb and York crews were called to the incident on Stublowe Place off Hull Road at 11.40pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival there had been a fire on the hob. This was out on crew arrival.

“However the property was heavily smoke logged. Crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan and gave advice to the occupant.”
