Two crews called to fire in York village home

York and Tadcaster fire crews were called to an incident in Copmanthorpe last night (Friday).

They went to a home on Moor Lane at 6.17pm.

A tumble dryer had caught fire. Everyone was safely out of the property before the firefighters arrived.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The tumble dryer fire was out on arrival and removed to open air and inspected by fire crews using a thermal imaging camera. Advice was given to the occupant.”
