There are major delays on the A19 this morning in the north of our county, between Thirsk and Middlesbrough.
Emergency services are dealing with two separate collisions on the A19 between Ingleby Arncliffe and Crathorne, around Trenholme Bar.
The southbound lane is closed.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Traffic is extremely busy in the area, and there is likely to be ongoing disruption for some time.
“Please listen to local traffic announcements, and avoid this stretch of road. Thank you for your patience.”
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said crews from Northallerton and Ripon were first called out to a three-vehicle collision at 4.28am to the A19 southbound at East Rounton
Everyone was out of their vehicles. Then
Then, at 5.08am, Northallerton crews were called to the A19 southbound at Crathorne.
This crash involved “two vehicles in the queue of traffic caused by the previous one,” a North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said
“One person was mechanically trapped. Crews extricated the person and left them in the hands of ambulance crews.”
