Three people remain in a serious condition in hospital after a crash left their car upside down in a stream.
Police today revealed more details about the incident, which happened at Bransdale near Helmsley on Friday (19 July) at about 5.10pm.
A Vauxhall Zafira negotiated a series of bends on Daleside Road before it left the carriageway.
It went through a fence and flipped onto its roof and landed in a stream.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “There were three people in the vehicle who were rescued by the fire service and admitted to hospital. They remain in a serious but stable condition.
“The road was closed until 6am the following morning to allow emergency services to work at the scene.
