Police have taped off an area of York following a sudden death in the city today (Tuesday).
They are asking people to avoid the area around the railway station.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are currently dealing with the sudden death of a woman on Queen Street in York, close to the train station.
“The area has been temporarily cordoned off and we ask people to avoid the area until further notice.”
The stone bus shelter opposite the station has been taped off. Some tarpaulin is covering part of the shelter.

A police guard is in place. The pavement nearest the shelter is in the cordon.
