Police are investigating after a sofa was set on fire in a garden today (Monday).
Firefighters were called to the incident in Acomb, York at 12.43pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “An Acomb crew attended a sofa set alight in a domestic garden.
“Crews stood by and allowed the sofa to burn out.
“The incident was left in the hands of the police.”
