Police have been called in after a shopping trolley was set on fire last night (Monday).
Firefighters went to the incident on Alcuin Avenue at 7.20pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to a report of a fire in a shopping trolley.
Alcuin Avenue, York
“Crews extinguished the fire with one hose reel jet. The fire was believed to be deliberate and it was reported to police.”
