A serious crash twice closed the A64 in York this morning (Monday).
As we reported earlier, the crash was near the Grimston Bar interchange. It closed a stretch of the westbound carriageway.
It reopened for more than an hour from 9am then closed again at 10.30am so the two vehicles involved in the collision – including an HGV – could be recovered.
At 11.08am it reopened fully, and traffic is getting back to normal.
Crash location
North Yorkshire Police said the delays were due to “a serious collision that we and other emergency services are dealing with”.
