A serious crash closed a stretch of York road tonight (Saturday).
It’s on the A64 between Grimston Bar and the Hopgrove roundabout near Murton.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road is closed in both directions due to a serious collision that occurred at about 9.40pm tonight.

“The closure will be in place for some time while the emergency services work at the scene. Motorists are urged to avoid the area, and find alternative routes for your journeys.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
The road has now reopened.
