**Updated: The road has now reopened**
Emergency services are on the scene of a serious crash north of Ripon this afternoon (Monday).
It is on the A6108 close to the entrance with the Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park.
The road is closed and police are asking people to stay away.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A6108 near to Lightwater Valley.
“The road is currently closed and is expected to be for some time.
“Motorists who are travelling between Ripon and North Stainley should find an alternative route.”
