A section of York’s walls is closed for a few hours this morning (Friday).
The walls between Bootham and Monk Bar will be shut until about lunchtime.
It’s so City of York Council can carry out a survey of the Monk Bar staircase, ahead of the installation of new illuminated hand rails.
These will be put in place “in the next few months”.
