A York cat is safely back down to earth today thanks to the help of firefighters.
A crew from Acomb were called on a rescue mission at a house on Baker Street at 7.01pm last night (Wednesday).
They were responding to reports that a cat had been stuck on top of a chimney for more than 24 hours.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used a 9m ladder and a roof ladder to bring the cat to safety and reunite it with its owner.”
