Two people were rescued after their car got stuck in flood water early this morning (Sunday).
Firefighters were called to the incident in Bolton Percy at 12.04am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Tadcaster and Acomb responded to a vehicle partially submerged in flood water with one occupant on the roof and one sitting on a window ledge.

“Crews wearing water rescue suits and using water rescue equipment waded out to the vehicle and brought the occupants safely to dry land.”
