The East Coast Main Line has reopened north of York this evening (Monday).
All lines were closed after a person was hit by a train between Northallerton and York.
Trains were delayed and cancelled due to the incident.
Services affected were:
- LNER between London Kings Cross and Newcastle / Edinburgh
- Grand Central between London Kings Cross and Sunderland
- TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle, and between Manchester Airport and Redcar Central.
Rail replacement services were running between York and Newcastle.
