Crews were called to a fire off a York street late last night (Saturday).
They went to the incident near Water Lane at 11.36pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Police requested our assistance after coming across a fire off Water Lane.

“The fire consisted of a pile of rubbish approx two metres squared which had been started deliberately, The crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.”
