Emergency services were called to an incident in York city centre on Wednesday night.
Traffic was barred from Coney Street by a police car parked close to Boots at 9.12pm. An unmarked police car was close by.
A fire engine was parked on Market Street.

And the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service aerial ladder platform was close to Sports Direct.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “A crew from Acomb with the aerial ladder platform assisted the police at an incident where youths were seen climbing onto the roof of a four-storey building.
“After a thorough search of the roof top, no youths were located.”
The road reopened to all vehicles at about 10.20pm.
It came on a night when York was busy with students in fancy dress enjoying freshers’ week.
Yates was a particularly popular destination.
